The PINEAPPLE Guidelines

The PINEAPPLE committee was formed in the late 1960s to devise and codify guidelines for the safe handling and investigation of potentially active artifacts remaining from “deep time”. While these initially included only ANNING BLUE SKULL items from Operation TREACLE, the scope of "PINEAPPLE cases" now includes appendices covering DANUBE CROSSING, OLD DREAMER, and PLUTO KOBOLD artifacts as well. The PINEAPPLE guidelines were last amended in the late 1980s and are woefully out of date.

The basic PINEAPPLE manual says, in effect, “Don’t touch it, don’t look at it too hard, leave it the hell alone and call the Top Men”. The advanced manual says the much same thing to the presumed Top Men, in extremely technical language with hundreds of pages of caveats.
