Operation CHAR
As the Allies moved into Europe following the D-Day invasion, the SOE's Special Group was busy tracking down individuals identified on the SPARK List and "clarifying their status", which mostly meant assassinating them. These activities continued after Germany's surrender, including individual actions across Europe.1 Ostensibly, CHAR ended when SOE did in late 1945, but the mandate was passed to the newly-formed Laundry as part of Project GLASS SURGEON.2
